PRIVATE LESSON PROGRAM INFORMATION AND POLICIES
Monthly tuition for private instruction will provide one weekly, 30-minute lesson for the month. The total tuition is for all scheduled lessons in the month.
All students will be set up on our auto pay program with a credit or debit card. Tuition will be taken out the first of each month, for the total number of scheduled lessons.
Store Closures –
Spotts Music Center is closed the following days each year: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas. When a scheduled lesson falls on a day the store is closed, tuition will be short-billed that month.
Student Absence –
Tuition is paid to reserve a guaranteed space and instructor for a specific time each week. Your instructor will be there for the lesson time and therefor no refund will be issued for student absence. In addition, no make-up lessons will be offered for student absences through staffing.
Instructor Absence –
If your instructor is unable to teach a lesson, we will attempt to provide a qualified substitute. If unable to do so, you will be notified of lesson cancellation and a credit will be issued for the lesson.
For all issues related to your lessons, please call or text store staff at 814-371-5666
Parent Responsibilities -
Parent attitudes and involvement is vital to a child’s success in music. It is important that your children practice, without interruption, and attend their lessons on a regular basis. Good habits encourage success and well-placed praise helps them continue.
Children learn valuable lessons in perseverance, self-discipline, and time management. If your child experiences difficulties in learning or practicing, please let your instructor know. Communication is very important, and the instructors want to help their students and parents.
Encourage your child to participate in general music classes, choir, band, or orchestra at school. This is a wonderful opportunity to sharpen their music skills and learn to work musically with others. Give them sincere and frequent praise!
Student Responsibilities –
1.) Arrive at lessons on time, students who arrive late do not receive the benefits of a full lesson.
2.) Play throughout the week, practice makes a difference.
3.) Enjoy making music. Keep positive and work hard. Have fun with your lessons. Share your talents with friends and family
