(USED) Marshall JCM2000 TSL60 - Used 60-Watt Triple Super Lead Tube Head
Marshall JCM2000 TSL60 – Used 60-Watt Triple Super Lead Tube Head – SKU
Three footswitchable channels — Clean, Crunch and Lead — are what the “Triple Super Lead” name is about, and they’re why this head covers a whole set without a pedalboard in front of it. It’s an all-tube 60-watt design running four ECC83 preamp valves into a pair of EL34s, with spring reverb, a series effects loop and an emulated line output on the back panel.
If you play a night that runs from clean rhythm to classic Marshall crunch to saturated lead, this is a head built for exactly that job. Sixty watts of EL34 power is plenty for club stages while being easier to push into the sweet spot than a 100-watt head. This one is used, so give us a call or text at 814-371-5666 for condition, tube status and photos before you commit.
Key Features
Three Footswitchable Channels
Clean, Crunch and Lead each stay where you set them, so you can jump from rhythm to solo without reaching for a knob.
All-Tube EL34 Power Section
Two EL34s fed by four ECC83 preamp valves give you the midrange bite and natural compression EL34s are known for.
Dual Reverb Controls
Separate reverb levels for the clean side and the crunch/lead side, so a wet clean tone doesn’t wash out your gain sound.
Tone Shift & Deep Switches
Tone Shift reworks how the middle control behaves on Crunch and Lead, and Deep adds low-end push when you need more weight.
Effects Loop with Mix Control
A footswitchable loop with its own level and mix controls lets you blend time-based effects in behind the preamp gain.
Emulated Line Output
Send a speaker-voiced signal straight to a desk or interface for recording or running direct to the PA.
How to Power Up a Tube Head Safely
- Connect a speaker cabinet before you switch anything on. A tube head run with no load can destroy its output transformer in seconds.
- Match the impedance. Set the head’s impedance selector to whatever your cabinet is rated at, and use a proper speaker cable rather than a guitar cable.
- Switch the power on with standby left off and give the valves about a minute to warm through before you ask them to do any work.
- Come off standby, then bring the master volume up from zero. Reverse the order at the end of the night: standby first, power second.
Care Tip: When the EL34s eventually wear out, have a tech set the bias rather than dropping in a matched pair and hoping for the best. JCM2000-era heads are particular about bias, and a properly set pair will sound better, run cooler and last considerably longer. Bring it to us and we’ll take care of it.
