All-aluminum construction and a removable stem give you two distinct sounds from one mute: pull the stem out for the open, buzzy tone Miles Davis made famous, or leave it in and work the wah effect with your hand.
It's free-blowing and doesn't alter your pitch, so it fits into jazz combos, big bands, and orchestral settings without fighting the horn. Look-alikes exist, but they don't sound the same — this is the real thing.
