Ludwig Snare Drum Kit - Student Snare Kit with Rolling Bag - LM2477RBR
A complete Ludwig student snare kit that rolls to rehearsal in one bag.
Ludwig Snare Drum Kit – Student Snare Kit with Rolling Bag – LM2477RBR
The Ludwig LM2477RBR puts a beginning percussionist’s entire setup into one wheeled bag. Inside you get a 5x14 metal shell snare drum, an adjustable snare stand, a rubber practice pad, a pair of sticks and a drum key — and every piece fits neatly and securely into its own spot in the multi-compartment rolling bag.
It’s built for the student starting school band or private lessons. Instead of piecing together a drum, stand and pad from different places, you get a matched kit from a name band directors know, in the standard 14-inch snare size. The rolling bag means no juggling a drum, a stand and a backpack on the way to rehearsal.
Key Features
Rolling Bag Holds It All
Rubber wheels and a telescoping pull handle roll the whole kit to rehearsal in one trip.
5x14 Metal Shell Snare
A metal shell snare in the standard 14-inch diameter for a crisp, bright response.
Adjustable Snare Stand
A single-braced stand that adjusts to the right playing height as the student grows.
Quiet Practice Pad
The rubber pad sits right on the drumhead, so switching from quiet practice to full volume takes seconds.
Sticks & Drum Key Included
Ready to play on day one, with the key needed to tune the drum and change heads.
Padded, Durable Build
Padded black and red nylon with heavy-duty zippers protects the gear between school and home.
How to Set Up Your Snare Drum Kit
- Unzip the bag, take out the stand and open its legs on a flat, stable floor.
- Adjust the height so the drumhead sits roughly at the player’s waist, then tighten the height adjustment firmly.
- Open the stand’s basket arms, set the drum in with the snare side facing down, and close the arms until the drum is held snugly without pinching the rim.
- Flip the snare strainer lever up to engage the snares for that classic snare sound; flip it down when you want the drum without the buzz.
- For quiet practice, lay the rubber practice pad directly on top of the drumhead.
- When you’re done, return each piece to its own compartment so nothing shifts in transit.
Care Tip: When tuning with the drum key, turn each tension rod the same small amount — a quarter turn or less — working across the drum in a star pattern rather than around the circle. Even tension keeps the head sounding clean and helps it last far longer than cranking one rod at a time.
