Warm Audio Dirty Boy Jr. Fuzz – Analog Fuzz Pedal – WA-DBjr-FZ

The Dirty Boy Jr. Fuzz puts the boutique Dirty Boy Afro Fuzz circuit into a compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure, built in an official collaboration between Warm Audio and Dirty Boy Pedals. It is an all-analog, vintage-style fuzz with premium transistors and vintage-voiced components, plus one thing the classic “circular” fuzz designs never had: a six-position frequency selector that reshapes the pedal’s entire voicing from thick and low-end heavy to sharp and cutting.

It suits players who want the touch-sensitive, cleans-up-with-your-volume-knob feel of a classic fuzz without hunting down a hand-built original. Two knobs and one switch cover everything from lightly driven breakup to fully saturated fuzz, and true bypass means it leaves your tone alone when it is off. Every unit is hand-tested and inspected in Austin, Texas before it ships.

Key Features

Six-Position Frequency Selector

Shifts the overall voicing from dense, low-end-heavy fuzz to a sharper upper-mid focus, so one pedal covers doom riffs and cutting leads.

Official Dirty Boy Circuit

Developed directly with Dirty Boy Pedals and based on their Afro Fuzz, not a generic clone of a generic fuzz.

All-Analog, Vintage-Voiced

Premium transistors and vintage-voiced components give the natural compression and rich midrange of a classic British-style fuzz.

Cleans Up From the Guitar

Rolling back your guitar’s volume knob takes it from full fuzz to a smooth, expressive edge-of-breakup tone without touching the pedal.

Wide Gain Range

Fuzz and Level controls run from lightly driven overdrive textures to thick, sustaining saturation, and the pedal gets very loud when you need it to.

True Bypass, Road-Ready Build

A compact metal enclosure with authentic Dirty Boy styling, true bypass switching and standard 9V center-negative power fits any board.

How to Dial In the Dirty Boy Jr. Fuzz

  1. Place it first in your signal chain, straight from the guitar. Vintage-style fuzz circuits respond best when they see your pickups directly, and that is what makes the volume-knob cleanup work.
  2. Power it with a standard 9V center-negative supply, plug your guitar into the Inst jack and run the Amp jack to your amplifier or next pedal.
  3. Start with Fuzz around the middle and the frequency selector in a middle position, then bring Level up until the engaged volume matches your bypassed volume.
  4. Step through all six frequency positions with the band playing or a backing track running. Lower positions add weight for riffs; higher positions tighten the low end and help leads cut.
  5. Set Fuzz for your loudest sound, then roll your guitar’s volume back to find your rhythm and clean-up tones. You can leave the pedal on all night and control everything from the guitar.

Care Tip: Run the Dirty Boy Jr. Fuzz on an isolated output of your power supply rather than a daisy chain shared with digital pedals. High-gain fuzz circuits amplify every bit of supply noise, and clean, isolated power is the difference between a quiet stage and a hum you spend the whole gig chasing.
