JBL PRX ONE All-In-One Powered Column Array PA System with 7-Channel Mixer and DSP
A complete professional PA system in a single, elegant package — 2,000W peak, 130dB max SPL, 12-tweeter column array with JBL A.I.M. technology, 12" bass-reflex subwoofer, Soundcraft-designed 7-channel digital mixer, Lexicon reverb, dbx DriveRack DSP with AFS Pro feedback suppression, and full Bluetooth 5.0 app control.
About This System
The JBL PRX ONE is built around a fundamental question that gigging musicians, working DJs, event producers, and houses of worship all eventually ask: what if everything I need for a complete, professional PA — the power, the dispersion, the mixer, the effects, the DSP, the app control — came in one package that looks nothing like a pile of gear? The PRX ONE is the answer. Its two-piece column array design places twelve 2.5" custom high-frequency drivers in a vertical array above a 12" bass-reflex subwoofer, with JBL's A.I.M. (Array Inumbration Mechanics) geometrically optimized array-shading technology managing the dispersion pattern across the column. The result is a 130-degree horizontal, 30-degree vertical coverage pattern that delivers consistent, even frequency response from the front of the room to the back — the core acoustic challenge that a traditional point-source speaker mounted on a pole cannot solve without dedicated fill speakers. The integrated 7-channel digital mixer was designed by Soundcraft and includes four XLR/TRS combo inputs with phantom power on two channels, two Hi-Z instrument inputs, a 3.5mm/Bluetooth channel for music playback, a full Lexicon and dbx effects library, dbx DriveRack DSP with AFS Pro Automatic Feedback Suppression, per-channel gates and compressors, an 8-band master EQ, and a system limiter. The full-color LCD on the subwoofer gives on-the-fly control, and the JBL Pro Connect app extends complete control over all functions remotely, including access to exclusive app-only features like delay tap tempo, speaker snapshots, and simultaneous management of up to ten units. Every unit undergoes 100 hours of JBL stress testing before it ships.

Column Array Advantage
A traditional speaker on a pole puts a point source of sound at head height and radiates equally in all directions, which means the people in the front row are hit with direct sound while the back of the room gets the echo off the wall behind the speaker. The PRX ONE's column array uses JBL A.I.M. technology to geometrically shape the dispersion pattern — wide horizontally so coverage reaches across the room, narrow vertically so the sound energy is directed at the audience rather than the ceiling. The practical result is consistent volume and frequency response from front to back, even in reflective spaces that typically cause intelligibility problems.
The DSP Stack
The dbx DriveRack DSP package in the PRX ONE is the same technology that many live sound engineers run as a dedicated outboard rack unit. Having AFS Pro Automatic Feedback Suppression, an 8-band room EQ, a system limiter, and per-channel dynamics — gates and compressors — built into the PA itself eliminates the need to carry, power, and cable that gear separately. For a solo performer or a small event production team, this changes the setup equation dramatically. The Soundcraft one-touch ducking feature, which automatically pulls music volume when a microphone signal appears, is the kind of practical feature that saves awkward transitions at every break.
App Control in Practice
The JBL Pro Connect app is not a companion feature — it is a fully synchronized remote control that stays in sync with the onboard mixer at all times. You can walk the room during soundcheck while adjusting the mix from your phone, knowing that what you see in the app is exactly what is happening at the speaker. Exclusive app-only features including speaker snapshots, which save the complete state of the system, and delay tap tempo for the XLR Pass Thru output enable a level of real-time control that typically requires a dedicated mixing console.
Great Fit For
- Solo and duo performers who need a complete, high-quality PA without multiple trips from the car or a dedicated sound engineer
- DJs running weddings, private events, and parties who need powerful, clean output with a low visual footprint
- Corporate event producers and presenters who need reliable speech reinforcement and music playback in a professional-looking form factor
- Houses of worship and community venues looking for a high-quality, easily operated PA that does not require a dedicated audio team
- Mobile entertainers — karaoke hosts, trivia MCs, emcees — who need full PA capability with minimal setup complexity
- Rental companies looking for a reliable, feature-rich all-in-one system that clients of varying technical skill can operate successfully
- Bands and performing groups who want to leave the outboard mixer, effects rack, and feedback suppressor at home

Specifications
There is a version of a gig where you show up with one system in two pieces, set it up in fifteen minutes, walk the room with your phone during soundcheck, and the sound is even and clear from the first row to the last. The PRX ONE is built for that version of the gig. If you have been carrying more gear than the show actually requires — or if you are tired of fighting feedback without dedicated suppression hardware — this is the kind of system that changes the equation on a very practical level.
Questions about what it can cover, how the app works, whether it is the right size for your room, or anything else — we are genuinely glad to talk through it. Give us a call or a text.
