The Mic Mute IR senses your presence in front of the microphone and automatically mutes when you step away—helping keep feedback, stage bleed, and background noise out of the mix without riding a fader.

Start with the range dial low, stand where you want the mic to “turn on,” then increase the dial until the LED shows active—this sets your working distance. Environmental conditions can affect IR detection slightly, so it’s worth a quick soundcheck tweak.
