How to Care for Your Violin
- Before playing, draw the bow across the rosin cake a few times to build up enough grip on the hair.
- After playing, wipe the strings and body with the polishing cloth to remove rosin dust before it builds up.
- Use the MagicTouch polish occasionally to clean off rosin residue and fingerprints from the top of the instrument.
- Use the fingering markers as a temporary guide on the fingerboard while learning note placement, then remove them as your ear takes over.
Care Tip: Never apply polish directly over visible rosin dust. Wipe the dust off first, or the polish will just smear it into a haze instead of cleaning the finish.
